I got to a letter from DVLA on 15-01-2012 requesting my driving licence be sent to them so that it can be endorsed following a conviction by magistrates court. This is the first I had heard. I gave a call to DVLA asking for the details and they stated that I was convicted for a speeding offence on 2-12-2011 for failure to produce my driving licence and was penalised by 6 points.
I was asked to contact magistrates court for details. I contacted magistrates court on the 20th and was told that I have been fined £700 and 6 points for not providing my license following a speeding offence. I was not aware of the case against me, what can I do? How long with these points stay on my licence and do I need to disclose to my employer?
